Hak5 LAN Turtle SD
Covert USB Ethernet adapter for remote access and network intel
The Hak5 LAN Turtle SD looks like an ordinary USB Ethernet adapter, but it is a covert systems-administration and penetration-testing tool. Plug it into a target machine for USB power and host connectivity, and use the Ethernet port on the other side to sit on the LAN. From there you can maintain remote access, gather network intelligence and run man-in-the-middle workflows through the Turtle’s graphic shell and module system.
This SD version includes an internal microSD card reader for local storage (for example packet captures and loot), instead of the cellular modem found on the LAN Turtle 3G.
Key features
Discreet “USB Ethernet adapter” form factor that blends into typical IT environments
Stealth remote access, network intelligence gathering and man-in-the-middle capability via the Turtle Shell
Expandable module system (install from Hak5’s module repository or write your own)
Cloud C² ready for remote management when used with Hak5 Cloud C²
Internal microSD reader for on-device storage (SD model)
USB-powered; managed over the USB-facing Ethernet interface (SSH after first boot)
Typical use
Physical and network pentests, red-team implants that need a quiet Ethernet foothold, and sysadmin recovery scenarios where a small USB-powered Ethernet gadget must provide remote access without changing the desk’s appearance.
