The Alfa AWUS036AXER is a compact Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) USB adapter that adds fast, dual-band wireless connectivity to laptops and desktop PCs. Built around the Realtek RTL8832BU chipset with 2x2 MIMO, it operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands for combined data rates of up to 1800 Mbps (AX1800) with a compatible Wi-Fi 6 router. It plugs directly into a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, uses an integrated 2x2 antenna, weighs just 10.5 g and supports WPA3 security, making it a tidy upgrade for older Wi-Fi 4 or Wi-Fi 5 machines.
